The Ethiopian Airlines has awarded Travel Agencies and Tour Operators for their extraordinary contribution to the tourism and economic development of the country.
The awarding ceremony held today under the theme “Celebrating Partnership with Renewed Commitment.”
The program was attended by the Minister of Transport and Logistics Alemu Sime, Minister of Tourism, Nasise Chali, the CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, Mesfin Tasew and representatives various travel agencies and tour operators.
The Award is held annually to stimulate the tourism development sector in the country.
Ethiopian Airlines CEO Mesfin Tasew said during the ceremony that the travel agencies and tour operators have contributed greatly to the achievements of the Ethiopian Airline.
The awardees have also played pivotal role in promoting tourism and facilitating trade in Ethiopia, he added.
The award recognizes travel agencies and tour operators their best performances in 8 categories including booking quality, promoting digitalization, high sales among others.
