Lagos: The Management of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced that the temporarily suspended train operations on the Warri-Itakpe corridor will soon resume. The Chief Public Relations Officer, Mr. Callistus Unyimadu, confirmed this development in a statement issued on Friday.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the operations were halted to facilitate urgent and critical track repairs aimed at ensuring the safety, reliability, and comfort of passengers. The NRC is pleased to report that work on the affected sections has progressed significantly, allowing for the resumption of normal train services in the near future.
Mr. Unyimadu expressed gratitude to passengers for their patience, understanding, and cooperation during the period of service interruption. He emphasized the NRC's commitment to providing safe, efficient, and reliable rail transport services across Nigeria.
The NRC has assured the public that a subsequent announcement will be made regarding the official date for the resumption of full operations on the Warri-Itakpe train service.
